“Viktor first worked with water sector professionals in South Africa in early 2002 when they were setting up a knowledge network known as the Water Information Network. I met him in 2005, six months after I had joined WIN as a Coordinator, based at the Water Research Commission. He helped me with ideas for the WIN website and for improving WIN's value adding role to the sector. He trained me on website management, content management and introduced useful tools on information and communication. I enjoyed working with him because he has a very calm nature, and is a highly intelligent and critical thinker. He tried to understand exactly where I was coming from (or where I was) with any idea and would always offer the best advice. A lot of the people I worked with at the time still have immense respect for him. His ability to ask the right questions/ as opposed to coming with solutions is what he is remembered by in South Africa”
