Process Improvement of Medical Foundation
Introduction, development and implementation of a time registration process to gain insight into what employees and colleagues are doing and support the collective decision process about future activities.
A large foundation with over a hundred locations for the daily care and support of mental disabled people has a special team with highly skilled physicians, psychologists, fysiotherapists, logopedists, game therapists, music therapists and ergotherapists. Although they were extremely busy helping clients at all these locations, the rest of the organisation did not feel they were doing enough. Unfortunately, this expertise centre could not demonstrate with clear data about their activities that they were actually performing beyond their capacity.
In order to gain more insight into their own activities I helped them set up a time registration process, provided the tools to keep track of their time and helped the team to make sense of the data that the process started to deliver once we installed it. In order to do so, I made an inventory of their activities, set up a system for allocating time, activities and locations, trained the team members as well as the central administrative bookkeeper and provided coaching on the interpretation of the results.
